DogOS is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and your rights over it.

1. Data We Collect

Account & identity

•Name, breed, date of birth, sex

•Body weight (kg)

•Profile photo

•Microchip ID and passport number

•Insurance provider and policy number

Health & activity data

•Daily health logs: mood, appetite, energy level, stool quality

•Activity logs: type, duration, intensity

•Weight logs (home and vet weigh-ins)

•Symptom checks and AI triage results

•Vaccine records: type, date, next due date

•Vet visit records: clinic, date, reason, notes, next appointment

•Medical notes (free text)

Device data

•Push notification token (for reminders and alerts)

2. How We Use Your Data

•Health tracking and personalised insights

•AI-powered insights, symptom triage, travel advice, and reports — your dog's data is sent to the Anthropic Claude API for this purpose

•Scheduling and delivering reminder notifications (vaccines, vet visits, daily logs)

•Sending proactive health alert emails when unusual patterns are detected

•Legal article lookup and AI legal Q&A

We do not sell your personal data or use it for advertising.

Data sent to Anthropic is not used to train their models under our API agreement.

4. Your Rights (GDPR)

•Restriction — limit processing in certain circumstances

•Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interests

5. Data Retention

We retain your data while your account is active. All personal data is permanently deleted within 30 days of account deletion. Anonymised aggregate statistics may be retained indefinitely.

6. Security

All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest (AES-256 via Supabase). Row-level security policies ensure users can only access their own data.

7. Children

DogOS is for users aged 13 or older. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. Contact us at privacy@dogos.life if you believe a child has created an account.

8. Cookies & Tracking

The web app uses session cookies for authentication only. We do not use advertising, analytics, or tracking cookies. The mobile app does not use cookies.

9. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date and notify you by email for material changes.
